Men visiting at the Moment.

Tori and Tolo

Recently, I have been conducting quite a bit of research- both academic with books and hands-on- with the CHIC'CHAN. My overall goal is to bring this esoteric facet into the mainstream of MBP and the world, as I feel it is a core piece of what men are missing. While I am not quite finished on that journey, I would like to share some amazing material I have found, so that you may review it, and integrate it into your daily Bronkey-walk. This is the first of a series of essays over the next few months.

I myself am quite disciplined and focused in my daily life, particularly when it comes to my culture and MBP. Indeed, my entire life is lived through the lenses of these two filters. I find that prioritizing these aspects helps everything else come into place, and I live a rich, dynamic existence. When a person approaches, and is interested in what I am doing (I am not imperial, so I don't go seeking people to covert. I also encourage people to go find their own connection and pre-imperial culture and connection. I have hatched more successful baby Vikings than the entire Asatru community combined.), I share objectively and factually. Most guys, no matter how earnest and serious, quickly blanch at the thought of having to live outside their comfort zone, and having to go outside of the ordinary. Many will however, try and fly the flags and do a fractured attempt at a version of a culture they feel is theirs, and usually end up in an infantile wish-fulfillment community like Wicca. Apparently, most men are unable and unwilling to dedicate themselves fully to something outside of the path of least resistance, or at least what they already know. Publishers like Llewellyn feed into this (and profit off of it), publishing books that contain questionable information and no context. By reading one of their books, they promise that you will become an expert and master practitioner in any of the subjects they have raped so brutally. This realization is not entertaining to me at all, indeed, it makes me quite sad. Don't hang a shingle claiming something unless you are willing to understand it and live it for real. And that is what the rest of this essay is about.

In NiTaino and related cultures, we have several words to define people. The first is NABORIA, which literally means “without enchantment”. CACIQUE is literally “one who has power” (which goes along with GUACACIQ, or power-lust), BEHIQUE means “he has enchantment” (which goes along with the greeting TAIGUEY, which is “blessings and love”). As we have seen on the main site, EYERI means a male who has surrendered his masculinity, as he wants to be feminine; GURRUMIAO means a male who is so obsessed with non-males, he surrenders his masculinity to them in a futile attempt to be “more masculine”.
If one is a male rooted in his definition of masculinity being his relations and interactions with other males, and is expressing GUIARQ, QUIBEY, and TEKGUIARQ, he is a true LUKKIYO, or man. If he truly lives this deeper, almost hyper-masculinity as a discipline (ie; staying away from females as much as possible, especially in erotic and power contexts, and defining his masculinity only by male things), then he can be said to be TOLO, which is the first requirement to be a BEHIQUE or BOHITI (healer/ true “medicine man”). By being TOLO, and embracing his extraordinary purpose and focus, he will no longer be NABORIA (which refers to the “ordinary people”). A male who is TOLO will be more intensely in touch with the cosmic sacred, his masculinity, and his CHIC'CHAN, as he will not be distracted or obligated to other things. It is not a path for everyone, and is not supposed to be. As a local Wari has amazingly stated, “a NABORIA is someone who is not ready to give everything else normal up yet”. There is no shame in being NABORIA, it is what the majority of people are, it is the path of simplicity and complacency. Indeed, for males heavily programmed, conditioned, and drugged by empire, it is the path of least resistance. For a male to go TOLO, he needs something different, extra, and special to activate deep inside of him.
I need to be clear here- NABORIA are not isolated from the Creation, they are not punished, they are not a “lower” level of existence, and there is nothing wrong with it. Remember, the word can be synonymous with “Ordinary”. Naboria males are still capable of some level of healing and enchantments, and they can (and should) be still directly connected to the Creation and the Beautyway.
Naboria males start with the same equipment and potential, they simply refuse to go beyond the ordinary, to go beyond the familiar. The familiar and ordinary- belief in technology over spirit, belief in
the imperial ways, and the “need” for a traditional “family” model- is what they choose, and it is what limits them. They never choose the extraordinary, the supernatural, the beyond. One can best look at it as choice, discipline, and focus.
Pre-imperial cultures are not the only ones who suffer from such self-imposed limitations: how many monotheists choose to be clergy? It seems that imperial monotheism is more open to the limitations, in fact, the imperial power pyramid benefits greatly from such limitations, and encourages them.
On the survey, we ask two questions, and the answers are revealing. We ask “do you believe in magic?” and “do you believe you are capable of magic?” We find that those who answer yes to one or both of the questions also live outside of the “normal” paradigms. They are artists, independent spirits, and deeply empathic Bronkeys who have (by and large) chosen lives outside the lines, and walk to a different rhythm. These males have already been uncomfortable, and have felt their way outside the box, and are living their own pathway. Accepting and being observant in a discipline will only heighten this separation, and is not the choice for the faint of heart. It is also not the path for someone who is not TORI, as to be a magi requires a male to be TORI.

TORI is the word for the sacred masculine present in someone's life. It is a way of saying the CHIC'CHAN is awake, functioning, and active. TORI is a principle which can also be said to be active in a ritual, or in a ritual object, such as a ZEMI. TORI requires total dedication to the sacred masculine to be present, and adherence to the strictures, rules, and regulations for the sacred masculine to be present. This would variously include no non-males present, or even in the thoughts of the participant(s). A GURRUMIAO or EYERI who keeps thinking of the next twat they are going to hammer, or wish their best girlfriend were there will find in quite impossible to accomplish TORI or ritual requiring it. One could convincingly argue that anyone involved or socialized beyond the fratrifocal, homososcial, homoerotic, and GUATIAO system are hopeless, and will never find or become TORI.
I have found in practice that GURRUMIAOS are entirely hopeless, but a homosocialized EYERI can function on some level, as can an eel-attracted male who is not obsessed; although the caution should be made that both limit and will contain the TORI on some level. These two scenarios work better in the context of a totally observant Bronkey male or two as celebrant, in addition to the limited male. I need to make clear again, limits to and lack of TORI is a choice (as is NABORIA), and can be rectified quickly and permanently if chosen to do so.

Everyone does not have to be TOLO, indeed, on some level society as a whole works better when there are NABORIA, who serve the purpose of keeping the baseline of “ordinary and normal” defined. NABORIA need to know there are connections and disciplines outside of where they are, and that with even a little effort, they can become more active and participating in their own lives and the Creation around themselves.
